For students

As an academic hospital, we operate in close collaboration with the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. Within this collaboration, we provide lectures and lab/practical classes with the students of:

  • the Medical University of Silesia, School of Medicine with the Division of Dentistry in Zabrze, faculty of Medical Sciences
  • the Medical University of Silesia, School of Public Health in Bytom, faculty of Dietetics and Emergency Medical Services
  • the Medical University of Silesia, School of Health Care, faculty of Nursing and Physiotherapy
  • The Silesian University of Technology, faculty of Bioengineering

Educational classes for the students of III, IV, V and VI year, and are dedicated to clinical cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and electrotherapy, pediatric cardiology, cardiac surgery, transplantology, intensive care, artificial organs, physiotherapy, dietetics, and some aspects of experimental cardiology. Each department has a cooperating Scientific Club for students who are interested in more advanced, highly-specialised techniques in medicine.

We are also cooperating with Medical Universities from abroad within the students' international exchange programs Socrates and Erasmus.
